Quetzalcoatl Pixelby ~griffling

I remember learning about Mayan/Aztec art in school last year and I loved it. All those intricate sculptures are neat. Anyway, the feathered serpent Quetzalcoatl was the Aztec's deity.

I was bored today so I started on this, I don't know why I just randomly sketched it up.

I used mayan statues for inspiration for the markings and head design. [link]

Mix of both tablet and mouse. I used my tablet to sketch and a to do a bit of colouring and my mouse for line art and areas where I needed more control for smaller areas.

This is beautiful. I love the Aztecs and I am a worshipper of Quetzalcoatl. Amazing art. Quetzalcoatl is one of my favourite things to draw too. I also am stunned that you did this on MS paint. Its beautiful.
